Croc Stars was designed as a playful showcase of the Crocs brand, offering three gameplay styles in one: platformer, runner, and jumper. Players earn coins and stars across levels, unlocking jibbits (charms) that change abilities and powerups. Different Croc types provide unique stats, creating strategic loadouts to tackle tricky challenges. Replayability comes from trying new combinations and chasing full 3-star completions.
I was the developer on Croc Stars, responsible for implementing all level mechanics, powerups, shop systems, and the in-game tutorial. A major focus was building modular code that could support three distinct gameplay types without becoming unmanageable. I made heavy use of Unity ScriptableObjects to handle shoe stats and loadout flexibility. I also designed the levels, ensuring a fun balance of challenge and reward. Developing Croc Stars taught me how to structure gameplay systems cleanly across multiple genres within a single project.
